Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 6, 2026

Overview

Surpass ("we", "our", or "the app") is a strength training app designed to help you track workouts and progress. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Surpass stores the following data locally on your device:

If Analytics is enabled in Settings, Surpass also sends limited product-usage events to Mixpanel. These events use a random app-scoped installation identifier and aggregate milestones such as app launches, onboarding steps, workout starts and completions, receipt views, and share actions. They do not include exercise names, sets, weights, notes, workout IDs, files, health data, location, or contact details.

Data Storage

Your workout history, preferences, progress data, and progress photos are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Surpass does not operate servers that store that personal workout data. If Analytics is enabled, the limited product-usage events described above are sent to Mixpanel, which processes them on our behalf for product analytics.

If you enable iCloud sync (when available), your data is synced through your personal iCloud account, subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

Data We Do NOT Collect

HealthKit

Surpass may request access to Apple HealthKit to read and write workout data. This data is handled exclusively through Apple's HealthKit framework and is never transmitted to external servers. HealthKit data access requires your explicit permission and can be revoked at any time in Settings > Health > Surpass.

In-App Purchases

Surpass may offer premium features through Apple's In-App Purchase system. All payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information.

Children's Privacy

Surpass is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your Rights

Your workout data is stored locally on your device, and you can disable Analytics in Settings. You have control over the following:
